ACME InterGalactic Planet-side Agent Position Description

General	Planet-side Agents represent the business interests of ACME InterGalactic and its divisions across the galaxy. Agents may work out of a large office, housing many agents and staff or solely from a remote post, working only with the indigenous population. Generally remote postings are only offered to experienced agents.
Qualifactions	The primary skill required to be a Planet-side Agent is an ability to quickly adapt to unfamiliar environments. These environments may be both natural and social. Former intellegence opperatives and military special operations persons make excellent Planet-side Agents but by no means are a requirement. Surprisingly, Earth Car salesmen do well as Planet-side Agents. Your education, skills and physical attributes will be matched to the unique needs of a particular posting. In some locations what is considered an Earth weakness may in fact be a great assett. Don't disqualify yourself based on Earth standards. Flexablity and desire are the primary qualifications. It is because of Humans' great adaptability that we recrut on Earth for Agents.
Postings	Some posting are more "challenging" than others, so posting offerings will be determined by the mental acuity and physical fitness of the agent. Once a posting is selected the agents well be trained in all skills necessary for that particular posting.
Training	All training is provided by our training division. While most training will be conducted at our home office facilities, training requirements particular to a posting may be administered at other off planet locations. Initial training will cover the history and structure of the company and its divisions, product lines, and the political and physical environments we do business in. Once initial training is completed, the agent's mental and physical abilities will be determined and a list of postings suitable to your abilities will be offered. The nature of the selected posting will determine what additional training is required.
Work Environment	The position of Planet-side agent is challenging and exciting but it does come with hardships that you must be willing to bare. Once transported off Earth you will have minimal to none existent contact with the people you leave behind. All communications with Earth are covered by the nondisclosure agreement. You must have your personal affairs in a state that can withstand the three to five years of your absence. Some posting may be in harsh and somewhat dangerous environments. You will be given all necessary training and supplies needed for a posting's particular environment.
Legal Responsibilities	All ACME InterGalactic employees are bound by Galactic Law and the laws, customs and taboos of your posting's host. ACME InterGalactic does everything possible to protect our employees, we have a security division and it can be employed if needs warrant. If an employee encounters legal problems with local authorities we will intervene where possible but we will not jeopardize our business relationships with the host to mediate an employee's problem. Employee's home government can not be counted on to help unless that government has a relationship with the posting's host. Note: Earth currently has no relationships with any galactic governments.
Contract	The standard Planet-side Agent contract is for three Earth years. Depending on the circumstances of a posting an extension of one to two Earth years may be added to the standard contract to cover additional training and/or travel requirements. The contract provides for travel from your home planet with a small weight allotment for personal effects and a return to the planet of your choice with an additional weight allotment to cover personal acquisitions. Due to the vagaries of space travel we cannot guarantee an immediate return after your contract expires. If a layover is required ACME InterGalactic will provide for your needs until a return can be arranged. We will provide food, lodging and a small stipend to cover needs during the layover. If so desired you may request a contract extention or short contract to work at full Planet-side Agent compensation during a layover. All ACME InterGalactic contracts contain a nondisclosure agreement.
Nondisclosure	Due to the agreements ACME InterGalactic has with Earth governments you are not allowed to disclose any facets of your employment or the company with Earth citizens. You are however allowed to communicate with former Planet-side Agents and off-planet visitors. ACME InterGalactic does not communicate any of our activities with Earth governments so that they may have complete deniability. If the nondisclosure clause is broken, ACME InterGalactic has the right via Galactic Law to pick you up and remove you to an off-planet site for legal actions (detailed in your signed contract). Due to the nature of the Earth's population you would not be believed and most likely give un-desirable labels.
Compensation	Base compensation is comparable to similar positions throughout the galaxy. Depending on the posting, base compensation may be supplemented with bonuses, commissions, incentives, and hazardous environment adjustments. Compensation particulars are fully covered in your initial training.
